At Eye Care By Design we are proud and happy to offer the Optomap Ultra-widefield Retinal Imaging to all our patients.

Annual comprehensive eye exams not only allow our doctors to improve the quality of your vision by updating the prescription in your glasses or contact lenses, but we also determine the overall health of your eyes. Regular detailed examination of the inside of the eye – the retina, is critical to eye health. We now know that many eye diseases occur or begin at the outer edges of the retina, so examining this area is extremely important.

At Eye Care By Design, we have invested in optomap – an advanced camera for ultra-widefield retinal photography. The optomap provides superior visibility of the retinal periphery allowing us to permanently photo document the health of the back of your eye(s) allowing for an in-depth, multi-layered view of the retina to detect eye disease, as well as systemic disease such as high blood pressure, and diabetes. It is a quick and painless exam, and we perform this test on all our patients as preventative care as a part of your annual comprehensive eye exam
