Advanced Technology

At Eye Care By Design, we invest in advanced imaging to support a more thorough, preventative approach to eye health—allowing us to detect changes earlier and monitor them over time.

Optomap® Retinal Imaging

Optomap® ultra-widefield imaging captures a detailed view of the retina, including the peripheral areas where many eye conditions first develop.

This quick, non-invasive scan allows us to document and monitor the health of the back of your eye and can help detect early signs of eye disease as well as systemic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.

Meibography (Meibomian Gland Imaging)

Meibography provides a detailed view of the meibomian glands, which play a critical role in tear film stability and overall eye comfort.

We perform this imaging on all patients as part of our comprehensive exams to assess gland structure, identify early dysfunction, and guide a more proactive approach to dry eye care.

By combining retinal imaging and meibography, we gain a more complete understanding of both eye health and ocular surface function—supporting early detection, targeted treatment, and long-term care.
