What is ZEST?

ZEST stands for Zocular Eyelid System Technology. This exciting in-office treatment has been developed by Zocular and designed specifically for the treatment of dry eye, Demodex, and blepharitis.

ZEST is like a deep shampoo for the eyes comprehensively cleaning the eyelids and lashes so that they are free from debris, mites, and bacteria. Dirt and debris on the edges of your eyelids can lead to symptoms of redness, itching, burning, and gritty eyes.

The procedure involves applying a gel to the eyelid margin and lashes using a specialized cleaning swab and cleaning in a circular motion, working the gel into a lather. Following the deep cleansing procedure, the gel is rinsed off with a saline solution. The procedure is quick and painless, bringing immediate relief to symptoms of irritation and dry eye.

The ZEST gel is formulated with a refined extract of okra- an edible green seed pod, that is effective in lifting and clearing oil, debris, and residue along the eyelid margin. Okra is a powerful cleansing ingredient that is also gentle to use around the eye, helping to calm and soothe inflammation.
